‘…And there's a hand my trusty fiere,
And gie's a hand o thine,
And we'll tak a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne…’

Think about a roaring fire, relaxing afternoons spent in comfortable surroundings, time to read, relax and enjoy a board game or two.  The traditional smell of pine needles and burning log fires....an abundance of fresh Highland air, and to top it all indulgent festive house party menus, with a variety of drinks to compliment, including new and old world wines and Malt whiskies. The Kincraig Castle Hotel Christmas and New Year Breaks are done in the style of a Country House Party allowing you to relax in warm friendship with set meal times that add to the fun of making new friends and creating an inclusive convivial atmosphere. We would hate for you to be disappointed, so please book as soon as you can – we think you are worth it, don’t you?

Now, a bit of culture, as we are often asked about Hogmanay:

Hogmanay (pronounced [hogmə’ne] — with the main stress on the last syllable) is the Scots word for the last day of the year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year (Gregorian calendar) in the Scottish manner. Its official date is 31 December (Auld Year's Night). However this is normally only the start of a celebration which lasts through the night until the morning of Ne'erday (1 January) or, in some cases, a week next Tuesday! … if all this is too much, then its better to let your head hurt with whisky than information.
